Antique Solid Wood Storm Door w/10 Windows & 1 Panel
Rare, antique, storm door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid  Douglas fir or pine, and is painted black on both sides.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young  pine.
The door has a removable window with 8 glass lites (10 originally, 2 missing). There is a small, raised  panel below the glass on both sides.
Hardware
:
The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of   period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height
:
The door was unevenly cut by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, build it up to be taller/wider, or even cut it to be narrower/shorter--

Condition
:
The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and  scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious  issues. Most of the blemishes that it has
will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks."
Besides the missing glass lites, all of the glass is in great shape with only subtle scratches.
Swing
:
The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right or away from the house towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--

Modification
:
We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
