If your steering lock failed in the locked position; you will need to remove it by removing the steering column assembly. CAUTION ⚠️ IS ADVISED. Have a professional do this part if you are not comfortable doing it. Make sure the vehicle battery is disconnected and fully  discharged before starting dissasembly of the steering column. You will need to remove the airbag and be sure to mark the position of the  of the steering wheel befere removal.
